You do your research. There are hundreds of sources about paid surveys and not all of them are reliable. Visit forums and blogs like this one to read up on the process, get the best tips and advice you can before you start, so you know what to expect every step of the way.
How do you decide who listen to?
Be wary of sites that offer wonderful and all positive reviews of survey sites, they are lying and just doing it for the affiliate commissions. A review that gives good value, should also give negatives points as then it is more honest. Also be wary of survey sites that tell you that you make $500 in an hour, that isn’t going to happen.
How do I pick out the legitimate sites from the scams?
If unsure, you can always go to Google and type in the name of the survey site and the word scam e.g enter in: cash surveys only scam. In this case, a quick scan of the results show that this site is not associated with the word scam.
Can I make a lot of money from taking surveys?
Taking paid surveys is not a get rich overnight way of making money on the Internet. In truth, very few things are, and things that do look like overnight successes have involved months of preparation. Patience is a virtue in the paid survey game, as it can take a few months before any real money is coming in.
One other thing I wanted to mention here is that you should be honest in your survey answers. Survey sites and market research firms are very serious when they compile and distribute these surveys, so they do not accept false answers, inconsistencies and obviously rushed surveys. They have evaluation methods in place that will pick these things up, so if you are found to be doing this you won’t be getting another survey from that company.
